Independent investigator appointment: The committee approved the superintendent’s recommendation to appoint an independent investigator in a separate matter involving a coach. The motion was made, seconded and passed.
Sealing of executive minutes: At the start of the public meeting the committee moved to seal the minutes of the earlier executive session; the motion passed and the committee recorded that no votes were taken during the executive session.
The committee noted that it would take roll‑call votes for each appointment per charter requirements and encouraged applicants and union representatives to address policy items (including Policy 5435) at the second read.
