Lake County staff told the Mount Plymouth Sorrento CRA board on Feb. 11 that the CRA will fund expanded roadside maintenance and that a draft update to the CRA plan will be presented to the advisory committee in March and to the CRA board in May.
Staff said mowing will occur every four weeks during winter months and every other week from March through October; litter removal will continue every other week year-round. The changes respond to community requests to reduce blight and improve appearance along the Sorrento Avenue corridor within the CRA.
Staff also said the county has been working with consultant Inspire Placemaking on a CRA plan update. A draft will be shared with relevant staff this week and presented to the advisory committee on March 18; INSPIRE is scheduled to present to the CRA board at the May 20 meeting for approval.
Staff expressed optimism the updated plan will enable significant improvements in the CRA in coming years.
