CRA approves Eastlake Chamber sign reimbursement up to $7,736

The Mount Plymouth Sorrento Community Redevelopment Agency Board approved the Eastlake Chamber of Commerce’s application to the CRA commercial façade improvement program on Feb. 11, authorizing a reimbursement amount of up to $7,736.
Meg Brew, Lake County director of economic development, told the board the chamber submitted required documentation including before photos, a design concept, three quotes and proof of ability to pay. Brew said the program reimburses 75% of eligible costs, excluding permitting fees and taxes; under the application’s estimates, that yields a reimbursement of up to $7,736.
Staff found the chamber’s application complete and compliant with program requirements and recommended approval to the CRA board. The board moved, seconded and approved the application; the transcript records the vote as five-to-zero.
If the board’s action stands, the chamber will construct the sign and then submit a reimbursement package to the county for payment, per the program’s documentation requirements.
