The Hendersonville Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve a four-lot subdivision for the Patsy Curtis property at 300 Walton Ferry Road and a site plan for a Farmers Bank branch, both on the meeting’s consent agenda.
The subdivision application proposes to divide the existing parcel into four single-family lots in an SR-3 zone, where minimum lot size is 7,500 square feet and the developer will add curb, gutter and sidewalks, City staff said. Caitlin, a planning staff member, presented the item to the commission.
The Farmers Bank plan covers a vacant site adjacent to a commercial strip in front of Clarendale. The bank’s representative described a single-story, roughly 5,000-square-foot branch that will connect a rear frontage road that currently terminates behind a neighboring property to Clarendale’s entry point. The bank representative said the design includes substantially more parking than the code minimum to accommodate branch traffic and staff, and that the developer prefers extra spaces rather than risk shortages.
Commissioners had no substantive objections during the consent discussion. Commissioner Longmire moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Commissioner Altizer seconded. The roll-call vote recorded eight yes votes and zero no votes.
The approved items will move forward to permitting and finalization with conditions and standard staff review noted on the consent memorandum.
