Holliston committee files MSBA statements of interest for Adams Middle, Placentino and Miller roof work

Votes authorized Superintendent/Administration to file SOIs for: Robert H. Adams Middle School (priority: roof replacement/modernization), Placentino Elementary School (roof restoration) and Miller Elementary School (roof restoration). Administration provided supporting documents including roof audits and an infrared survey showing water intrusion and deterioration. The presentation noted a March 21, 2025 SOI submission deadline and explained that filing an SOI does not guarantee MSBA approval, award of a grant, or commit the town to file a later application.
Committee members approved separate motions for each SOI by roll call. The administration said the Rams (Adams) roof work was the most urgent and that some capital requests — including critical exterior doors and an auditorium lighting upgrade — were being positioned to align with MSBA accelerated repair programming if appropriate.
What’s next: Staff will finalize SOI materials and secure required municipal signatures before the March 21 filing date.
