- Reappointed Kelly Crafts to the Vienna Planning Commission for a full three‑year term running Feb. 10, 2025, through Feb. 10, 2028. The council recorded a 7–0 vote in favor.
- Donated a spreader (model SCH096C) to the city of Williamstown at no cost under authority cited in West Virginia Code §8‑12‑18 (disposition of property). Council discussion described the unit as older and not in use; the city estimated a depreciated value of about $500. The motion to donate passed 7–0.
- Approved Internal Budget Revision No. 2, moving $8,000 from a line item tied to Spencer’s Landing to pay for services provided by The Thrasher Group; staff said the funds were already earmarked for Spencer’s Landing and that the Thrasher Group’s work focuses on that project. The council voted 7–0 to approve the transfer.
- Accepted the bid recommendation to have the Clarksburg YMCA manage and operate Jackson Pool for the 2025 season. Council members discussed the contractor’s role in lifeguard staffing and the contract structure; staff said the $10,651.56 figure covers salaries (other operational costs remain the city’s responsibility) and that last year’s total fee for pool operations was $48,004.16. The motion passed 7–0; staff will present a draft contract to council before execution.
All four motions were moved and seconded; Recorder Smith polled the council on each and recorded unanimous yes votes. Draft contracts and ordinance redlines will return to council when applicable.
