Another staff member, Haley, read the code definition for Class A1 authorizations, which allow on-premises consumption and entertainment and also permit the sale of original packaging for off-premises consumption.
Committee members asked whether liquor licensing changes are linked to video gaming eligibility and whether recent licensing requests represent an unusual uptick; staff said the county has seen an increase in that specific license class and offered to follow up on gaming-related rules. Members also referenced a prior land-use vote connected to a “beer cave” and the vineyard visited during a Farm Bureau tour.
