School board forwards 2025–26 budget priorities to county supervisors

The Pittsylvania County School Board voted Feb. 13 to approve its 2025–26 budget priority list and to forward the priorities to the county Board of Supervisors.
During the meeting the board indicated the priority list had been discussed in a prior work session and that no further rehashing was necessary at the public meeting. A motion to approve and forward the priorities passed by roll call. Recorded votes show Mister Fitzgerald, Miss Henderson, Miss Merrick, Mister May (as recorded in the roll call), Miss Shields and Mister Dobbs voted yes; Mister Mills was absent.
Board members did not discuss individual line items from the priority list during the public meeting; the priorities will be included in the board’s transmittal to the county supervisors for the upcoming budget process.
