School board says superintendent search applications close Feb. 28; interviews planned for March

The board stated a goal of identifying a candidate by April 1, if possible, to allow time for transition; the current superintendent, Dr. Jones, is set to retire in June.
No formal board action was required at the meeting; the update was presented as part of staff and committee reports. Board members invited public input via the online survey and encouraged qualified applicants to apply if they hold the state superintendent license.
