Sudden Valley board approves community events policy, accepts mitigation lot and authorizes driveway easement; tasks LRPC on Barns 6 and 8

The Sudden Valley Community Association Board of Directors on a voice vote approved several measures including a new community events policy, acceptance of an off-site mitigation lot and authorization to notify property owners about a permeable driveway easement, and tasked the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) to study options for Barn 8 and Barn 6.

The board approved Policy 25.01.3, the association’s community events policy, which formalizes a staff-mediated process for member-run free events and directs the general manager to use a dedicated online form for free-event applications. Michael, the association’s general manager, said the form requires applicants to explain “how it benefits the community,” and staff will screen submissions before bringing them forward.

The board also authorized the general manager to accept Lot 61, Division 16, as an off-site mitigation area and to execute the attached real property transfer agreement once required conditions are met. Michael described the parcel as a mitigation lot the owner purchased to offset wetland impacts at an adjacent build site and said the owner will “pay all the back assessments and two years assessment as well as the reported cost.”…
