Rock County Board honors longtime IT manager Diana Arneson and Rock Haven staffer Jaren Horner

The Rock County Board of Supervisors adopted resolutions recognizing two long-serving county employees: Diana Arneson for more than 36 years of service in the county’s information-technology operations and Jaren Horner for more than a decade of service at Rock Haven Skilled Nursing Home.
Diana Arneson’s resolution, moved by Supervisor Mawhinney and seconded by Supervisor Pier, notes Arneson’s start date with county computer services on Oct. 3, 1988, and records that she served in successive IT roles before working as information security program manager through Dec. 31, 2024. Supervisors praised Arneson’s knowledge and dedication; one supervisor said Arneson “always had an answer” to technical questions and described her tenure as exemplary. Arneson told the board it had been “a privilege to work for the County Of Rock and the citizens” and thanked colleagues for the recognition.
The board also recognized Jaren Horner for his work in food service and environmental services at Rock Haven since May 2012. The resolution for Horner was moved by Supervisor Bridal and seconded by Supervisor Woodman. Speakers highlighted Horner’s reliability, teamwork and plans to pursue training in automation; Horner said he appreciated the opportunity to balance work, school and family while employed at Rock Haven.
Both recognitions were approved by voice vote. The resolutions directed that a copy be presented to each honoree; no monetary awards or salary changes were described on the public record.
