The West Seneca Central School District Board of Education approved multiple personnel items and routine agenda measures during its Feb. 11 meeting.
The board approved agenda item 4(a) (certified personnel) by voice vote, recorded in the meeting as 7–0 in favor. Agenda item 4(b) also passed by voice vote recorded as 7–0. The board approved classified positions under agenda item 5(a) by voice vote, recorded as 7–0.
The consent agenda (items 6 through 10) was moved and approved by the board; the meeting recorded the vote as 7–0. Agenda item 11(a), a series of coaching hires and related personnel appointments, passed with a recorded tally of 6–0 and one abstention.
Under new business the board moved to approve items 12(a) through 12(l) (a set of personnel and trip approvals presented together). After discussion, the board recorded the vote as in favor; the meeting audio noted “All in favor? Aye.” The transcript contains two conflicting short tallies during that sequence, but the formal announcement by the presiding officer recorded the item as approved on the motion.
The board did not take action on non-budget informational items such as the auditorium presentation (agenda item noted for discussion) and the draft school calendar (presented for feedback).
