Planning Director Lacko reported at the Feb. 11 meeting that the city’s new cloud permit system for building permits is now online and that planning and code-enforcement workflows are expected to move onto the platform in coming months. The director said the system will allow applicants to submit permits online and to track application status.
Director Lacko also summarized recent administrative approvals: four administrative coastal development permits (CDPs) were issued for projects including a detached garage and ADUs at several addresses (429 Poplar, a second-story addition at 415 Wave, a detached ADU at 12 Jenna Lane, and a detached ADU at 443 Correas Street). Staff indicated planning-related code amendments and objective design standards work remain in progress, with a potential return to the commission in May.
Ending Director Lacko said the planning department will continue configuring the permit system, and staff will return with updates on code amendments and objective design standards.
