Rockwell Elementary staff and students presented a musical-style showcase at the Feb. 13 Rowan County School Board meeting and district leaders highlighted the school’s recent successes.

A Rockwell Elementary representative told the board the school had a successful meeting of the year and continued to sustain activities despite recent weather. The presentation was described as a "twist on an animusical" involving students and the school’s theater program.

Board members and the superintendent thanked students, parents and staff for attending and supporting the program. The board chair and other members welcomed parents who remained after the presentation.

The presentation was ceremonial and intended to show student learning and community partnership; no formal board action was associated with the item.
