The City of Pasadena, Texas City Council on a special meeting evening adopted Resolution 20 25 34 calling a general election in May 2025 to elect a mayor and eight council members representing single-member Districts A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H.
The resolution was read aloud by the city secretary, moved by Mr. Estrada and seconded by Mr. Dowell. After the motion, the presiding official asked for the vote; those present responded “Aye,” and the presiding official declared the motion passed.
The resolution text specifies a general election to be held “in and throughout the city of Pasadena, Harris County, Texas on Saturday May 2025” for the purpose of electing the mayor and council members for the listed districts. The council did not record individual vote tallies or objections on the transcript beyond the motion, second and the presiding official’s declaration that the measure passed.
Following the vote the presiding official thanked attendees and adjourned the meeting. The transcript records an invocation and the pledge of allegiance before the council took up the resolution.
