The Citrus County Aviation Advisory Board swore in reappointed members and one newly appointed member at the start of its February meeting.
The board confirmed the reappointments of existing members and welcomed Patrick Crippen, the newly appointed at‑large member selected by the Board of County Commissioners. The chair administered the oath of office for members being sworn in.
The board then conducted routine business: members approved the January meeting minutes on a motion and voice vote. The board nominated and re‑elected Heiko Callenback to another term as chair (motion, second and voice vote). Patrick Crippen seconded the motion to close nominations during the chair election. The board subsequently nominated and unanimously elected George McDonald as vice chair.
Members were reminded of the board bylaws (quorum requirement of four members), expectations around notice for absences, and Robert’s Rules of Order for speaking in turn. The chair noted that the board is advisory only and has no operational authority over airport contracts or operations.
