The City of Miami Beach announced a monthlong plan of traffic, parking and beach restrictions for March 2025 and said it will intensify enforcement on two high-impact weekends, March 13–16 and March 20–23.
Kevin Pulido, neighborhood affairs division director for the City of Miami Beach, said the measures are intended to reduce traffic and protect residents’ quality of life during the annual spring-break surge. "The entire month of March has been identified as a high impact period for the entire city of Miami Beach," Pulido said during a virtual information session.
City staff described a two-tier approach: citywide measures that apply throughout March and additional restrictions that apply on the two high-impact weekends. Miami Beach Police Department will implement a traffic plan each Thursday through Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. for five weekends and will place barricades on the west side of Ocean Drive with a single exit at Fifth Street for the district, officials said.
