Principal Planner Kurt Thompson described the replat as a technical subdivision action to consolidate two parcels (parcel control numbers read into the record) so the Riviera Beach Utility Special District can construct a new 16,000,000‑gallon‑per‑day membrane water treatment plant (MWTP). Thompson said the site has utilities zoning and utilities future‑land‑use designation and that staff found the plat consistent with Chapter 30 (subdivision regulations) and Section 30‑4. He also noted the city's engineering review concluded the plat meets Florida Statutes chapter 177 requirements.
There were no public comments or substantive questions from the board. Board members voted to recommend approval of the replat, and the vote was recorded as unanimous. Thompson said the action enables the project’s permitting and construction steps by creating a single legal parcel for the MWTP site. The board’s recommendation will be transmitted to the City Commission for final action.
