The Middletown School Building Committee approved its Jan. 15 meeting minutes and elected new committee leadership on Jan. 29.
Committee members approved the Jan. 15 minutes by voice vote. The committee then opened nominations for chair. After nominations closed, members voted to continue Edward Brady as chair. Bill Nash was elected vice chair and Don Morin was elected secretary; each position was approved by voice vote.
The committee followed the nomination and voting procedure described at the start of the meeting, which included a reminder that nominations do not require a second and that votes will be recorded in the minutes to comply with the Rhode Island Open Meetings Act. The chair then returned control of the meeting to Edward Brady after the leadership elections.
The committee proceeded to its project and architect updates after the leadership votes.
