City Council approves routine codification, contracts and project agreements; agenda items pass unanimously

At its Feb. 13 meeting the Williamsport City Council approved multiple routine items by unanimous roll-call votes and announced upcoming committee and special meetings.

- Ordinance (Item 5): Annual codification of recently enacted ordinances into the city code — first reading — motion passed (roll call 6-0).
- Resolution (Item 8): Professional and administrative services agreement with CITECOG for environmental review services for the Willow Street project (to meet HUD/CDBG environmental-review requirements). Staff said the environmental review will start immediately upon contract signing and that final design, bidding and construction for the Willow Street project are expected later this year.

Other business and announcements
Council scheduled a special, non-voting work session for Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. for a presentation from BKV Architects on the preliminary study for the future of City Hall. The next regular council meeting is set for Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. Several standing committee meetings were also listed for later in February. All routine votes at the Feb. 13 meeting were recorded as 6-0 on the public record.
