Council discussed a Purple Wave online auction scheduled for the 18th of the month and noted multiple items listed, including a tractor and other equipment. Staff told the council that bids on several items had exceeded initial expectations though many items remained at relatively low individual values.
Maintenance updates included locating missing water meters, replacing meter lids, and replacing a broken irrigation riser. Council also discussed an older building that had been removed from the town’s insurance list after a roof was not replaced; staff are pursuing bids for roof repair and restoration and investigating options to return the structure to insurable condition. Council directed staff to gather three bids for roof work and to supply additional detail on contractor quotes before work proceeds.
No budget amendments or new appropriations were approved at the meeting; council asked staff to correct a printed report (one packet page may have included December instead of January) and to return corrected reports at a future meeting.
