Harris County Schools recognize valedictorian Connor Archila and salutatorian Tate Williams

The Harris County Board of Education recognized the Class of 2025 valedictorian, Connor Archila, and salutatorian, Tate Williams, during its Feb. 13 meeting.
Ms. Snyder opened the recognition and introduced the students. “So tonight, I wanna recognize our valedictorian, mister Connor Archila, and mister Tate Williams. He's our salutatorian as well as our star student,” she said. Miss Bailey outlined their academic records and activities, noting that each had taken many Advanced Placement courses across STEM and social-science subjects.
In brief remarks, Tate Williams said his GPA was “about a 4.69, I believe, roughly,” and that he had been accepted to Georgia Tech and planned to major in computer science. Connor Archila reported a GPA near 4.73 and said he is considering majoring in math with a pre-med track; he described plans to pursue advanced study and possibly medical school.
Board members and community attendees praised the students’ academic performance and community engagement. The superintendent and others noted pride in students who represent the district at high levels academically and in extracurricular competitions.
Both students were invited to remain for the meeting; the board thanked them and their families for their accomplishments.
