Regional trail RFQ process continues while federal authorization sits in Washington

"We did put out the RFQ for consultant services. The deadline for receiving proposals is this Friday," Nailson said. He added that an agreement had been routed from the Connecticut division of Federal Highway to Washington, where it is "on hold," and that staff do not know how long the hold will last.
Nailson said the pause could delay authorization for construction funds and estimated a possible delay of up to six months. Staff are continuing the consultant selection process so the preferred team can be ready to proceed once federal authorization is received.
