School Building Committee to review stage 2 proposals; public sessions planned Jan. 8 and Jan. 22

The West Warwick School Building Committee announced two upcoming public meetings as it prepares a stage 2 proposal for school building work.
Committee member Mark (first name only in the transcript) said the committee will meet Jan. 8 at 4 p.m. in the high school media center to review stage 2 proposals and begin narrowing options. A public engagement session will be held Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium, at which the committee and design firms are expected to present the proposal the committee plans to submit to the state in February.
Mark encouraged residents with interest to attend both meetings. He said the Jan. 8 session will run until about 5:30 p.m. and will roll into a school committee meeting; the Jan. 22 session is expected to last about an hour and will include a PowerPoint presentation and opportunities for public comment.
No formal vote was required at the council meeting for these scheduling announcements.
