Council renews engineering support for wastewater facility, incinerator operations

The council voted 6–0 to approve Resolution 25R16; Councilwoman Sierra moved the measure and Councilman Dubois seconded it.
City staff said Weston & Sampson (referred to in the meeting as the firm retained following a 2023 effluent incident) has been monitoring the wastewater facility, participating in meetings, and providing recommendations while litigation was ongoing. The administration described the firm’s services as “invaluable” for ongoing oversight and documentation.
Council members had no further questions and the measure passed unanimously.
