County receives under-budget low bid for campus cooler; final vetting and vote planned next week

Aaron (county staff) explained that one bidder, Aaron Mechanical, submitted two different proposals; the transcript shows the proposals differed by installation method and pricing. Staff said they will follow up to reconcile those proposals and make apples-to-apples comparisons before the board vote scheduled for the following Thursday.
Committee members noted a late bid was received but that it was higher than the low bid. No contract award occurred at the meeting; staff said they expect to bring the item to the board for a vote next week.
