South Berwick council approves minutes, signs warrant, renews liquor license and sets hearings

The council unanimously approved meeting minutes from January 2025 after minor edits and adopted the public hearing minutes for the Metropolitan Road Phase 2 matter by vote. The council signed a treasurer's warrant dated Feb. 5, 2025, in the amount of $965,266.97; the motion to sign passed on a recorded voice vote with no opposition.
The council granted a liquor license renewal for Fauci's restaurant; the renewal passed unanimously. Councilors also scheduled a public hearing on amendments to the transit TIF district to allow use of TIF funds to pay up to 50% of a bond payment for town hall renovations; the hearing was set for Feb. 25 at 6:35 p.m. immediately following the CEA program hearing. The council approved scheduling interviews for downtown revitalization and comprehensive plan committee applicants for Thursday, Feb. 27 starting at 6 p.m.
All roll-call or recorded votes tied to these routine items were unanimous in the meeting record.
