Daryl (planning staff) presented the 2025 adoption agenda for the city zoning map and said the map updates capture rezoning activity from 2024. He reported two rezonings in 2024: a rezoning described in the packet as “202573 Summer Street” (the former Crash Masters facility, now a Sherwin‑Williams paint store) from light industrial to Central Business District, and a rezoning at 3045 Cherokee Street from R‑15 (single‑family residential) to Central Business District for a mixed‑use development described as 31 for‑sale residential units (townhomes and stacked‑flat condominiums) along with commercial floor area.
Daryl said both rezonings were heard by the planning commission on Feb. 5 and were unanimously recommended for approval, the adoption was duly advertised, and staff had not received public comments on the map adoption. The item remained on the agenda for council consideration; the transcript shows no council vote or further action at that time.
