The Peabody City Council approved a $334,330 transfer of Community Preservation Committee (CPC) open-space funds to support continued design work on the Independence Greenway extension.
Councilor McGinn, reporting for the finance committee, said the finance committee met earlier and unanimously passed the transfer after a presentation by Director of Finance Michael Gingras. The motion directs $334,330 from open-space fund balance (account 270000033021) to the Independence Greenway extension project account (2701811585622025000350) for further design work.
The transfer was brought to the full council and passed on a roll-call vote of 11–0. No substantive debate occurred during the full council vote beyond the finance committee report. The finance committee roster and attendance were read into the record as part of the committee report.
