Greg Richardson, co‑owner of Summer Moon Coffee, said he and his wife, Laura, opened the company’s Keller shop in 2018 after launching their first store in the Dallas–Fort Worth area in 2017. “We're actually Keller residents, and we live here,” Richardson said, adding that the owners raise their children in Keller.
Richardson described two signature features of Summer Moon Coffee. “We have two things that we're known for. Our oak roasted coffee, that means our coffee beans are roasted over a wood fire. It gives it a distinct flavor, makes it really smooth, takes out the bitterness,” he said. He also highlighted the shop’s moon milk, saying, “It's rich, sweet, and creamy.”
Richardson said Summer Moon operates as a hometown coffee shop with local employees who get to know regular customers. “You see families here. You see them bringing their kids here on their birthday,” he said, and added that couples and other repeat customers make the shop part of neighborhood routines.
Those remarks focused on the café’s local roots and menu specialties. Richardson framed the business as community‑oriented, saying, “It's just really exciting to be a part of the community.”
