Staff said the figure is "a little hefty" this year and attributed much of the total to recurring work on the Blue River and to work in areas labeled Columbia Realty 1 and 2.
Board members expressed concern about whether residents might be charged twice if the drainage districts outside city limits bill property owners directly. A board member asked staff to contact "Jennifer" (a Columbia Realty or district contact referenced in the meeting) to clarify Columbia Realty 1 and 2's maintenance plans and whether those entities intend to bill property owners for work that has already been done. Staff said they would follow up and report back at a future meeting.
The board moved, seconded and unanimously approved the assessment amount of $48,451.57.
