The Provo City Planning Commission unanimously recommended Feb. 12 that City Council approve a zone‑map amendment from Residential‑Agricultural (RA) to R‑1‑10 for property at 4122 North Canyon Road to permit a two‑lot residential subdivision.
Staff described the request as straightforward: the parcel abuts R‑1‑10 zoning to the west and south and the proposed rezone would match surrounding density. Applicant Brian Morrow told the commission the rezone is part of settling a trust after the property owner passed away; the request splits the property to provide the original homestead lot and a second new lot.
A neighborhood poll at the district meeting reported 35 in favor and zero opposed. The commission recommended approval to Council unanimously.
