During the Feb. 13 arraignment calendar, defense counsel and the prosecutor announced that Cameron Infantry was offered pretrial intervention. The prosecutor told the court Infantry’s PTI orientation date was expected in April and that Infantry acknowledged he needed to pay $525 to enroll and intended to do so.
Judge Hayward reset Infantry’s matter about 60–90 days so the defendant could enroll and begin PTI; if the defendant enrolls and the state confirms participation, the state will announce that at the subsequent date and the matter may not require appearance. If Infantry has not enrolled by the reset date, he must appear.
Prosecutor and defense counsel discussed contact details so the court and PTI program could communicate with the defendant; the judge instructed Infantry to text his address and email to defense counsel so the court could forward it to the PTI program.
Ending: Court reset the matter to allow the defendant to complete enrollment and to give the PTI program time to verify participation; failure to enroll will require return to court on the reset date.
