Eric Katz of Marlin Engineering said the project will collect 24‑hour mode splits, trajectory data and near‑miss analyses at Starkey Boulevard at State Road 54, Ridge Road at the Suncoast Trail crossing, and U.S. 19 at Sea Ranch Road. The cameras are portable, non‑intrusive units that the contractor said can detect vehicles, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, scooters and pedestrians and then produce trajectory visualizations and heat maps for near‑miss events.
