Mayor Haeckel opened the Feb. 11 meeting by presenting awards from the Oklahoma Municipal League to city employees who have completed 25 years of continuous service.
Because several recipients could not attend due to work conflicts or illness, the mayor read the names of award recipients into the record. Fire department employees named were Justin Burwright, Gary Davenport, Brian Edwards, Derek Enos, David Faught, Jack Ingram, Barry Mooring, Charles Littleton, Greg Skelly, Michael Bussell, Craig Roberts and Randall Carey. Planning department recipients were Rick Hofstadter and Jan Jensen. Police department recipients named were Sergeant Larry Anderson, Sergeant Curtis Garrett, Captain Sean Hawkins, Lieutenant Justin Michon and Sergeant Blas Forrest. Public works employees named were Troy Adams, Kevin Deaver, Tavi Hendon, Jerry Jennings, Otis Oliphant, Alan Shelton, Christopher Whitaker, Jerry Tarver and Hans Odsgood. The utilities department recipients listed were Robert Stroman, Daniel Hayes, Tim Wellington and Jerry Rather.
The mayor noted that a limited number of awardees were able to come forward for a group photo and thanked all honorees for their service. The transcript records the reading of names and the mayor’s recognition; no further council discussion of the awards is recorded.
