At the start of the meeting, members moved to approve the minutes from the Oct. 7 meeting; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Later in the meeting, the council proposed and approved adding Jaylene Morris to fill a vacancy. The motion to add Morris was made and seconded; the chair called for a voice vote. Council members responded, "Aye," and the chair said, "Motion passed." Staff confirmed they would collect Morris’s contact information and update the roster to show 20 members in total.
Members discussed the council’s geographic representation and noted a continuing need for representation from the southern portion of the basin and from the Green River area. The council asked members to seek additional nominees before the next meeting.
The council set an interim meeting schedule to prepare materials for the state meeting in April and tentatively agreed to meet on Wednesday, March 26 (date set during the meeting) and to use Price City facilities for in-person meetings when available.
