Claire, a member of the City of Revere Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board who occupies the market-rate tenant seat, told the board she submitted her resignation to the mayor and that it will become effective in April. She said her board term had already expired and she asked not to be reappointed because new responsibilities will limit the time she can dedicate to the board.
Claire said she will continue to work at City Hall and offered to volunteer as an unofficial clerk to help with minutes, agendas and calendar postings during the remainder of her service and afterward. Chair Joe Gravalese and other board members thanked Claire for her service and encouraged members to recommend candidates who hold market-rate rental tenancy in Revere to fill the vacancy.
Board members said they have identified a few potential candidates but noted that the vacancy specifically requires someone who pays market-rate rent in Revere; they requested members forward names to the mayor's office for consideration.
