Lakeville conservation commission continues several hearings and grants Long Pond extension

The Town of Lakeville Conservation Commission on Feb. 11 took several procedural votes and approved one multi-year extension for a lake association.
The commission voted to continue two pairs of hearings to Feb. 25, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station: 3 Mona Street and 74 Lakeside Avenue were continued together, and 160 Bedford Street and Rear Bedford Street were continued together. Commissioners said applicants requested more time to provide revised plans and additional information; no substantive debate was recorded on those continuances.
The commission granted the Long Pond Association a three-year extension of its prior Order of Conditions (MassDEP file SE1920879). The extension will carry the permit forward to July 27, 2028; the association presented its progress and commissioners praised long-term efforts to implement the work described in the original order.
The commission also approved a corrective Order of Conditions and certificate of compliance language for 9 Cross Street after town council identified two lots on the recorded plan that no longer belong to the original owner; the commission authorized staff to accept the corrective language from town council and record the corrected certificate without returning the item to a future agenda.
Other business: the commission approved its meeting minutes from Nov. 26, 2024, and later moved to adjourn. Votes were taken by voice; several motions were moved and seconded and approved with all members saying “aye,” with no roll-call tallies recorded in the meeting transcript.
