The Nevada Senate adjourned to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, after Senator Cannizzaro moved that members and staff be allowed to observe Presidents Day.
Senator Cannizzaro moved, "that we stand in adjournment until the hour of 11AM on Tuesday 02/18/2025." She also asked that the secretary allow Senate staff to observe the holiday "to the extent that business permits" and told staff to check in with their supervisors about taking some or all of Monday off.
The presiding officer acknowledged the motion, heard a voice vote and declared the motion carried. The transcript records an earlier roll call comment that "the record reflect there are 4 senators present," and it does not show a recorded roll-call tally for the adjournment motion. The presiding officer then said, "Motion is carried, and the Senate is adjourned."
