The Weld County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 3 approved a package of routine and grant-related items, including acceptance of a BRIC hazard-mitigation grant award, an amendment to a nurse home-visitor contract to adjust indirect costs, two donations to support a community health survey, purchase of used equipment for public works, a temporary road closure for culvert replacement and the rescheduling of a show-cause hearing.
Roy Rudacille of Emergency Management presented a BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) project tied to the county's hazard mitigation plan. The board accepted a grant award of $100,579 with a county match requirement of $25,145, which Rudacille said is budgeted in this year’s budget.…
