He said the project team recommended the firms in Granger Construction's Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal (attachment 3). Campbell stated a total project budget of $4,158,115 and reported the recommended award amount of $3,534,767; he characterized that outcome as coming in under budget and enabling the district to pursue additional projects. He also identified components included in the award figure: Granger Construction's GMP staffing/bond/insurance amount of $622,491 and hard contractor costs of $2,647,524.
Board members asked about the Garris Robotics layout; presenters said they would share the blueprint in the board packet for privacy. A question about the district's overall referendum or bond totals produced a clarification that the renovation package referenced the $3.53 million number (not the larger bond totals discussed elsewhere). Campbell attributed the favorable bids to strong bidder coverage and coordination between superintendent Irvine, Jason Hardy, TMP Architecture and Granger Construction.
