Bridgeport police report: car thefts tied to regional group; crossing guard recovering

Chief Britta also addressed social-media posts about a crossing guard who had fallen. She said the crossing guard, Mr. Hessel, is recovering and that the department is monitoring his recovery. The chief thanked department staff and crossing guards for their work during recent weather and Super Bowl-related activity.
