- Entertainment permit (Item 22): Granted an entertainment-with-dancing permit with conditions for Sanctuary by Wedgwood Weddings (600 E. Fifth St.). Conditions limit interior and exterior hours and require noise controls; permit requires distribution of conditions to renters. (Motion carried)
- Support for AQMD rulemaking (Item 24): Council requested the city attorney draft a resolution supporting the South Coast Air Quality Management District's proposed rules to reduce NOx from heaters and water heaters and to support rebate programs for low-income households transitioning to low-NOx or zero-emission appliances. (Motion carried)
- Short-term rentals (Item 30): Council adopted an ordinance amending chapter 5.77 of the municipal code relating to short-term rentals. (Ordinance adopted)
- Contract award (Item 29): Council awarded the Main Health Critical Facility Improvement Project contract to Best Contracting Services for a total contract amount not to exceed $6,913,044. (Motion carried)
- Resolution on travel restrictions (Item 32): Council adopted a resolution amending a prior policy to denounce "heartbeat" laws and to suspend official travel to Georgia, Alabama and similar states until such laws are revoked, amended or struck down; the resolution clarified limited exceptions for operational needs. (Motion carried)
- Other consent calendar matters: Consent calendar items 1-20 (minus items 18 and 19) were approved earlier in the meeting; items 18 and 19 (the Galls contract amendments) were taken separately and approved. The council also moved to withdraw item 27 per staff request.
