Board adopts Feb. 12 consent agenda items; enters executive session

The Cohoes City School District Board of Education voted to adopt the Feb. 12, 2025 agenda items listed as 6A through I, 7A through Q and 9A in a single motion. A motion and second were made and a roll call vote recorded affirmative votes from all board members present.
Minutes show the board recognized and accepted the resignation of Mr. McFarland from the middle school and accepted several retirements: Terry Gendron (physical education), Christine Guarneri (reading teacher, Harmony Hill), Lynn Hunter and Terry Broomhead (teacher assistants). The board also accepted a $102.42 donation from Planned Sports for athletics.
Following that business the board voted to enter executive session at 7:46 p.m. to discuss personnel matters and the superintendent's evaluation. The board stated it did not plan to return to public session at the meeting's close.
