The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda and several personnel actions Thursday, including resignations, retirements and new contract offers.
The consent agenda — which included approval of the Jan. 28, 2025 minutes, payment of bills, preauthorization of payroll and automatic payments, and adoption or amendment of multiple district policies on second reading — passed by voice vote.
Consent‑agenda policy items listed in the meeting record included amended policy 2080‑R (travel and expense reimbursement); amended policy 6025 (student admissions); amended policy 3015‑R (bloodborne pathogen exposure control); new policy 3501 (data privacy and security); new policy 3407 (user data retention); and abrogation of policy 4105 (student responsible use guidelines for technology).
Trustees accepted resignations: Sabrina Marr (Willow Creek kindergarten teacher); Macy Evans (Riverton High School fine arts teacher), effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year; and Tori Nichols (Riverton Middle School assistant soccer coach), effective immediately. The board also accepted retirements: Lloyd Meredith (Riverton High School math teacher), effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year; and Cheryl Esposito (Aspen Elementary School principal), effective June 6, 2025.
The board offered contracts to Dietrich Becker as Riverton High School head boys soccer coach for the 2024–25 school year and to Kathy Kohlberg Martin as a Jackson Elementary second‑grade teacher, effective immediately.

The board reviewed several administrative information items. Chief among them, the district’s Impact Aid application for fiscal year 2026 was filed on time; staff reported the district identified 164 federally connected students for this year’s application, up from 132 in the previous cycle. Other information items included updates on HR recruiting: the district had 11 certified teacher openings and two administrative searches (elementary principal and an assistant principal/athletic director). Staff described upcoming job‑fair participation and recruitment changes intended to streamline applicant screening.
The board also received updates on proposed policy clarifications (animals in schools, district sick‑leave bank, and field‑trip budget caps) and a pending agricultural easement; staff said they would present additional documentation at a subsequent meeting.
