Richland County commissioners approve routine motions, set public hearings and suspend one employee after executive session

The board authorized advertising for the Town Line Bridge replacement, with an estimated construction cost of $460,000, and approved a contract with K.E. McCartney for right-of-way acquisition services for the Lexington Spring Mill roundabout not to exceed $11,675. Commissioners noted that 90% of that expense is eligible for reimbursement from the Ohio Department of Transportation. The maintenance superintendent requested the county liquidate a 2014 Ford F-250 replaced in the maintenance department and list it for sale on GovDeals; that motion passed.
The board also adopted two resolutions setting public hearings in Madison Township to consider vacating an unnamed road off Mariana Drive (hearing set for March 11 at 10:30 a.m.) and an unnamed alley off Ball Avenue (hearing set for March 11 at 10:45 a.m.).
After a 10:30 a.m. executive session, the board returned and moved to impose a one-day suspension at Dayspring for a Group 1, number 17 violation. The board then recessed for a second executive session later in the meeting and announced there were no immediate motions out of that session. The meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
