Larimer County: two EV chargers active; third at 200 West Oak expected after Feb. 17

Larimer County Manager Lorenda Volker told the Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 4 that grants funded three level-2 electric-vehicle charging stations for county locations and that two are already operational.
Volker said the chargers at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake are installed and available for public use. A third charger at 200 West Oak has been delayed by a missing part; Volker said that unit should be operational after Feb. 17 and that the county will hold a celebration to mark the completion and explain funding sources.
Volker described the news as a positive step to expand public charging on county-managed properties. She did not provide vendor names or the total grant amounts during the oral update; staff materials in the county packet may provide additional procurement and funding details.
No formal action or vote was required for the update; county staff will continue installation and coordinate a public event to announce the new charger at 200 West Oak.
