Jefferson County Planning Commission approves two rezoning cases on consent

The Jefferson County Planning Commission approved the minutes from its Jan. 8, 2025 hearing and approved two rezoning applications on the consent agenda at its Jan. 22, 2025 meeting.
The two rezoning cases approved on consent were: Case 24-128677RZ, an application by owner-applicant Sandra Doherty to rezone 0.60 acres at 5100 Eldridge Street in Golden from Agricultural 2 to Residential 1 (case manager: Sarah Colas); and Case 24-125226RZ, an application by owner-applicant Carol Williams to rezone 0.23 acres at 16670 County Road 126 in Pine from Commercial 1 to Planned Development to allow existing residential uses (case manager: Ali McGahee). Both cases remained on the consent agenda after staff reported affirmative responses from referral agencies and no members of the public offered testimony for either case.
Commissioner LaRocque moved to approve the minutes from the Jan. 8 hearing; the motion received a second and the commission approved the minutes by voice vote. Commissioner Lyles moved to have the two consent cases read into the record; Commissioner Duncan seconded. Chair Rogers called for the ayes and, after a voice response in which no member objected, said, "The consent agenda has been approved." The commission noted Commissioner Becker participated online during the vote.
