County Engineer Justin Madder briefed the Saline County Board of Commissioners on the road and bridge program for 2025 and accomplishments since October 2024, including completed paving work, awarded construction contracts and the office''s new unmanned aerial system.
Madder said APAC Kansas completed hot-mix asphalt overlay and patching work for $1,227,244.31; Payment Pros completed bituminous crack sealing for $22,416.80. The county received a drone with photogrammetry and LiDAR sensors through a North Central Regional Planning Commission-supported grant and is training staff on the equipment.
