A group of Green Gables townhome residents told the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 4 that noise, lights, blocked access and transient encampments tied to Cobblestone Car Wash at 1975 S. Webster St. in Lakewood are causing safety and livability problems.
Sean Wyrick, who identified himself as a resident of 7483 W. Atlantic Lane, said noise from the car wash regularly exceeds county limits and that vehicles and storage containers parked on South Webster Street are blocking a fire lane. “In our community, we are experiencing over 80 decibels when measured,” Wyrick said. “That is to equate it like a hair dryer right up against you.”
